Tommy was born
in Birmingham, Alabama in 1949. He graduated
from Auburn University in 1971 and
Vanderbilt Law School in 1976. That same
year, he was admitted to the Alabama State
Bar and clerked for The Honorable Chief
Judge Frank McFaddin of the United States
District Court for the Northern District of
Alabama. Tommy is a member of the Birmingham
Bar Association and the litigation section
of the American Bar Association. He is a
member of the Trucking Industry Defense
Association and the Alabama Defense Lawyers
Association. Tommy is “AV” rated by
Martindale-Hubbell and has extensive
experience in insurance defense law, complex
litigation, transportation law, among many
other areas and has many years of trial
experience in a variety of areas of the law
in all Federal and State Courts in the
State of Alabama. Tommy works hard to
aggressively and comprehensively defend his
clients, keeping them fully advised of the
status of the matter in litigation, while,
at the same time, effectively managing legal
fees and expenses. Tommy’s ultimate goal, no
matter the client, is to conclude all
litigation efficiently and in a cost
effective manner, monitoring all matters in
litigation and conferring with each client
on decisions concerning strategy, plan of
action, and resolution.
